Work Experience Launch

Work Experience Launch

4th April 2018 Uncategorised 0

During March the BDMA delivered it’s successful work experience programme for students at both Brighton Aldridge Community Academy and Portslade Aldridge Community Academy. Students were given the opportunity to learn and understand more about the BDMA partners and working in the creative digital media industry.  Representatives came from multiple employers from around Brighton to speak to students in a “speed dating” scenario, where each student was given 5 minutes to ask questions, learn more and make a good impression.

Students will now submit their top five choices and the companies will invite them to start their work experience week later in the year.  Then they will go through a rigorous interview process that each company defines, to eventually get accepted to their work experience post.

This is an excellent opportunity for local companies to identify future employees and to meet them personally before they start their work experience placements.

Our partners who participated in the event were Brand Watch, Pegasus, iCrossing, SiteVisibility, MakerClub, Ricochet, Pragmatic, Factory Films, Further My Future, JollyWise, Graphite Digital, Latest TV, Bright Wave, Propellernet, and Ocasta. Our thanks and appreciation for their continued support and in working with us to encourage our students to progress onto exciting careers in this vibrant industry.
